You called it a
fart cushion.
Here’s what the opening’s actually for.
The comments had a field day. But there’s a reason for that gap—and three more details worth a look before your next long shift.
“Fart cushion.” “Fart funnel.” “Needs a filter.” We’ll give the comment section this: it knows how to name a product.
If you spotted the opening and had the same thought, fair enough. It’s actually there to leave space beneath your tailbone, with cushioning around it.
Jokes aside, you want a comfortable shift.
The seat shuffle. Leaning onto one side. Adjusting the seat again at the next stop. When you spend your working day behind the wheel, a cushion has to offer more than a funny-looking hole.
AirGap brings an open centre, shaped seat and raised rear support together in one piece. Here are four details to look at.
TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT AIRGAPRoom beneath your tailbone. That’s the idea.
A flat pad puts another layer of foam across your whole seat. AirGap leaves an open zone in the centre, with cushioning around it.
The aim is to give your tailbone space rather than another surface to sit against. So yes, the hole is deliberate. The comment section’s other theories are its own.

The gap is only half the story.
Look behind the opening. That raised section is built into the cushion itself. You don’t need a separate back pad to get that part of the design.
It’s designed to support a more upright sitting position, while the seat beneath you provides cushioning. One shape, working together.

More thought than a flat slab of foam.
The seat is sculpted around the opening, with contours for your thighs and sitting bones. The high-density foam gives it a different feel from adding another flat layer of padding.
The point is a seat setup you can settle into. You want to get on with the drive—and still have a day to enjoy when you knock off. Your own seat is where you’ll decide whether it suits you.

In the truck. Then into the ute.
AirGap is a portable cushion: place it on the seat, sit back into the contour and centre yourself over the opening. When the shift’s done, you can move it into the ute or use it at home.
It measures 47 × 43cm. Compare that with your usable seat area, especially between deep bolsters. It adds sitting height, so check your driving position and control access while parked.
The textured base helps it stay in place, and the removable cover makes cleaning straightforward. Follow the supplied care instructions.

Four details. One cushion.

Will it fit an air-suspension truck seat?
AirGap measures 47 × 43cm. Compare this with the usable seat base and the space between any bolsters. It adds sitting height, so check the fit and your access to the controls while parked.
Will it change my driving position?
Any cushion adds some height. After placing it, check mirrors, pedals, belt placement and access to all controls before driving. Adjust your seat only while safely parked.
Which way does the AirGap face?
Position the raised support towards the rear of the seat. Sit back into the contour and centre yourself over the opening. Make any adjustments while parked.
Is the cover washable?
The cover is removable for easier cleaning. Follow the care instructions supplied with the product.
Is the hole actually for farting?
The opening is designed to leave space beneath your tailbone. The nickname came from the comment section. AirGap isn’t an odour filter.
What if it doesn’t suit me?
You have a 60-day trial. Check the refund policy for the return process and conditions. Return postage is at your cost.
